One Point of Contact (Zero Runaround)

You work directly with one dedicated project manager overseeing every phase—from dirt pad preparation and concrete pour to structural framing and trim. One phone call, one contract, and transparent updates every step of the way.

Guaranteed Fit & Precision Alignment

Because our team pours the foundation and erects the building, your anchor bolts, slab squareness, and structural steel line up with exact precision. No subcontractor finger-pointing, ever.

Predictable Timelines & Upfront Pricing

Coordinating separate concrete and framing companies often causes weeks of downtime and surprise fees. Our synchronized schedule keeps your project moving smoothly from groundbreaking to final walk-through.

Answers & Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Key insights into our engineering standards, permitting, timelines, and turnkey contract benefits.

Why should I hire one contractor for both my concrete slab and steel building?
Separating concrete and steel contracts creates significant financial risk for property owners. If anchor bolts are set improperly or the slab is out of square, the building erector will charge substantial rework fees or void warranties. By hiring South Texas Construction & Concrete, a single project manager is accountable for the foundation's dimensions, strength, and steel erection.
Are your structures engineered for Texas Gulf Coast windstorm codes?
Yes. Every steel structure and custom metal building we construct is designed to meet or exceed local municipal codes and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) windstorm standards (typically 130–150+ MPH design wind speeds). Stamped engineering drawings are provided for smooth permitting.
What concrete PSI and thickness do you recommend for workshop slabs?
For general workshops featuring vehicle parking or light equipment, we recommend a 5-inch monolithic slab with 4,000 PSI concrete, reinforced with #4 rebar on 12-to-16-inch centers. For commercial buildings, heavy diesel equipment, or 2-post lifts, we engineer 6-inch+ slabs with reinforced perimeter grade beams and heavy column haunches.
Do you handle the dirt work and site pad preparation?
Yes. A durable foundation cannot be poured on raw, organic topsoil. We operate heavy excavators and compactors to clear vegetation, import quality select fill, laser-grade your pad elevation above flood levels, and compact the subgrade to 95%+ standard proctor density.
How do I get an official project estimate?
You can call our direct line at (281) 960-6960 or submit your project dimensions through our consultation request form above. We will arrange a prompt site evaluation and provide a detailed, itemized quote.
